Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine is the study of internal diseases. This includes: diseases of the internal organs (e.g. kidneys, liver, lungs or intestines), infectious diseases, metabolic disorders (e.g. diabetes, blood disorders and immunological and neurological disorders as well as diseases of the skin (dermatology) and heart (cardiology), tumour diseases (oncology) and poisoning.

In internal medicine, we deal with the prevention, diagnosis, conservative or interventional treatments, rehabilitation and after-care of health problems and diseases of all organ systems. In addition to taking a thorough medical history and clinical examinations, further diagnostics such as laboratory tests, ECG, X-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy are of great importance.

For the diagnosis of complex internal diseases, we have a modern laboratory available for haematology and cytology, as well as for urinary and faecal examination. For special tests, which cannot be carried out in-house, we work with specialised laboratories and university hospitals accredited to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard. The clinic also has a modern ultrasound machine and digital x-ray for imaging.
